Refunds & Return Policy

What happens if the stock I have ordered and paid for, is out of stock?

​

If an item was available on the online store and then when it comes to packaging it appears to be out of stock for some reason, Millside will notify you immediately.

You can then decide which option you would prefer:

​

a.         Cancel the whole order.

 

In the event you decide to cancel your order, you can choose whether you would like to be refunded directly into  our bank account or be provided with a credit note to use at the Millside online store.

​

b.         Cancel only the out of stock item.

​

In the event you decide to cancel the out of stock item, you can choose whether you would like to be refunded or be provided with a credit note to use at our online store.

​

c.         Place the item on hold until stock arrives – a due date will be provided if applicable.

 

What if I’m unhappy with my order?

​

Please note, Millside will only exchange unused, unopened or new items, within 7 days after they have been delivered.

All items must be returned in their original packaging and are subject to availability.

Millside will, at their discretion, replace or repair any equipment that is faulty due to bad workmanship or materials only if the item is returned to our store in person and collected from our store in person.

Refunds and exchanges can only be approved by management.
There is a NO RETURN and NO REFUND policy on perishable goods, wooden barrels, kegs or broken glass equipment, heating elements and electronic equipment damaged by lighting, power surges or any other natural disasters.

There is a NO RETURN and NO REFUND policy on any equipment or goods that were damaged accidentally, physically whether indented or not, misused and or abused or unintendedly used.

There is a NO RETURN and NO REFUND policy on special and or discounted items.

Any shipping and courier costs are non-refundable.

PLEASE NOTE: A 20% handling fee is charged on returned goods, whether or not they are returned in their original packaging or not.

 

What if a product is lost due to failure of equipment, leakages or causes damages?

​

All items supplied by Millside must be tested thoroughly before use and maintained correctly over time. Millside is not responsible for lost beverages, liquid, gas or other consumables caused by leaks or faulty items. All systems require maintenance and require periodic seal replacements etc. It is the user's ongoing responsibility to make sure all fittings and fixtures are functioning correctly to maintain a good seal. Do not leave equipment unattended or under pressure if you are unsure of the condition of the equipment. The supplier shall under no circumstances be liable for any special, consequential or indirect damages or losses.

All products or goods resold by the customer, are done so at their own risk and the customer cannot hold Avon Guard East cc T/A Millside Craft Distilling Supplies liable for any consequential loss on further distribution or products sold.

 

What warranties do I receive when purchasing an electrical item?

​

Avon Guard East cc T/A Millside Craft Distilling Supplies hereby warrants that all products are free from defects and in good order as defined by Millside. Millside shall require proof of purchase in the form of the original invoice from the customer, indicating the date, address, telephone number, reason for replacement of defective part as well as the actual defective part under warranty, prior to Millside honouring the claim. Millside agrees to replace any part, free of charge inside the warranty period where such replacement becomes necessary as a sole and direct result of inherent defect in the part and undertakes to provide, free of charge, the labour and workmanship involved in the repair of the product on their premises as the warranty is a carry in warranty. The transport is for the customer’s account. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect, inadequate or negligent application of the products, nor does the warranty cover lightning, power surges or other natural disasters. Millside shall not be liable to any other extent than the replacement of the defective parts and the labour and workmanship involved in their replacement. This warranty covers the full extent of liability; no other warranties or guarantees being expressed or implied.


a.         The warranty period ranges between six (6) and twelve (12) months, depending on the equipment.
b.         No refunds, exchanges or credit on any electrical parts, display or circuit boards.
c.         The following items are consumables and are NOT covered by any warranty:

            -  All Seals, O-rings and Gaskets.

            -  Heating Elements and Sensors.

            -  Pumps.

d.         All equipment repaired by Millside in terms of the warranty must be collected within ninety (90) days of the notification of the     

            completion of the repairs. Failure to comply with this condition will result in the sale of the equipment in order to defray costs.

e.         Warranty will be void on all equipment with compressors if transported flat or tilted

            more than 45 degrees.
f.          Condenser, compressor, fan and motor need to be dust free and cleaned at least

            once a month or warranty will be void if this is not done.
g.         Regular services must be done by a qualified technicians or warranty will be void if

            this is not done.
h.         Three (3) Months carry in warranty on all services and parts replaced by Millside

            technicians.
i.          All Warranties & Guarantees of locally sourced equipment is warranted by their   respective manufacturer/importer and NOT by Millside.
