ARTIC COUNTERFLOW CHILLER
The Artic Counterflow Chiller is a copper counter-flow that allows the Brewer to quickly and effectively chill their wort with ease.
This can be achieved in a single pass using the correct flow rate and ensuring the cooling water is suitably cool. As boiling wort flows out of the Brewing System, cool tap water runs against the flow direction, chilling the wort.
The composite outer shell consists of three layers. The inner layer prohibits bacteria growth and is able to withstand temperatures up to 120°C. The inner ⅜” copper core allows quick and easy heat transfer from the wort.
Additional Information:
The Artic Counterflow Chiller is very easy to clean, durable, and long-lasting.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Arctic comes standard with ½” Male Water Connections and ½” DuoTight Wort Connections ONLY.
Various Options:
There are many options available for this system. Be sure to ask us if you have any special requirements.
For Example:
Camlock Fittings for the Wort - In and Out.
Alternative DuoTight Connections and Sizes.
A Temperature Upgrade Kit can be purchased separately - this includes:
Dial Thermometer
Stainless Steel Tee-Piece
½” Stainless Steel 3 Piece Ball Valve
Camlock Outlet Connection.
Shorter or Longer Versions of the Artic Counterflow Chiller are available on request.
PLEASE NOTE:
Always ensure the unit is used in a Counterflow direction – the wort flowing in one direction and the cooling water in the other direction.
The Millside Warranty does not cover bursts/ruptures/blowouts of the outer layer resulting from negligence i.e. Having a kink in the output hose or from pressures exceeding standard household water pressure.
Always ensure the output hose is free from any pressure build-up when using an unregulated mains water supply.
The connections for flow can be reversed as long as the direction remains counter-flow.
