The Diffusion / Air Stone 2 Micron ½'' NPT with 7mm Barb can be attached to the end of the “gas in” line/dip tube on a Keg using 50cm of ½'' tubing. This will rapidly speed-up the carbonation process, so it is ideal to force carbonate your kegged Beer. Due to the incredibly small bubbles created by the stone, they are more readily saturated into the Beer.
The Diffusion / Air Stone 2 Micron ½'' NPT with 66mm Barb is also ideal for pure oxygenation as well. Due to the small bubbles created by the stone, they are more readily saturated into the Beer. It is ideal to use this aeration stone prior to fermentation.
Storage and Handling:
DO NOT touch the stone with your bare fingers!
Please use gloves when handling the Diffusion Stones as oils found on your skin can clog up the tiny pores.
Handle the stone using the Barb or tubing that has been connected.
Once the tubing is attached, always handle the stone by holding the tubing and not the stone itself.
The best method for unclogging a stone is to pump CO² at about 1 – 2PSI through the stone.
An electric kettle or pot can be used to boil the stone, this must be done for at least 5 minutes to ensure the stone is sanitized and clean.
Sanitizer can also be used to remove bacteria from the outside of the stone and this too can assist with unclogging a blocked stone. Push air thought the stone while it is submerged in the sanitizer solution, run for ± 5 minutes.
Once the stone is cleaned, store in a Zip-Lock Bag or wrap the stone in sanitized aluminum foil until it is needed again.

If an aeration pump is used, it is recommended that a “deep water" type pump usually used for aquariums is connected. This is to ensure the pump is strong enough to force the air through the stone and into the wort.
