DUOTIGHT BLOWTIE SPUNDING VALVE - 8MM
The BlowTie Spunding Valve has been specifically designed for Pressurised Fermentations.
As this process is becoming ever more popular, it has become increasingly important to have a method of regulating and controlling the residual pressure from the fermentation process.
Pressure Transfers:
Pressure transfers from Keg to Keg, Keg to Bottle, or Fermenter to Keg, it is often a good idea to have head pressure in the Keg you are filling into especially if you are transferring a beverage that is carbonated.
The BlowTie Spunding Valve can consistently control the head pressure giving you a more consistent result and without losing carbonation in the process.
Traditional Spunding Valves VS The BlowTie Spunding Valve:
Traditional Spunding Valves that use a simple spring against a seal, are inherently flawed right from the beginning. The physical aspects of the design dictates that you will have a significant difference between the opening pressure and closing pressure during operation. Brewers have tolerated this imperfection for long enough without being able to control these pressures.
The BlowTie Spunding Valve has been manufactured and designed in a completely different way. The BlowTie makes use of a diaphragm to actuate the sealing mechanism, this will release pressure from the pressure vessel with a much more accurate and controlled pressure.
Instructions:
The Yellow Adjustment Knob is use to control the pressure coming out of the pressure vessel. Clockwise – Higher Pressure; Anti-Clockwise – Lower Pressure
We recommend gassing a Keg to a known pressure. For example: 15 psi, after which you can attach your BlowTie Spunding Valve Kit to the Keg and adjust to 10 psi.

Please Note:
The 8mm Straight Joiners are semi-permanent fittings. You will not be able to remove the fittings easily once fitted. If you would like to have a completely removable fitted kit, we would suggest using EVA Barrier 4mm ID or 5mm ID hose as the joining pieces.
