FERMZILLA & KEG PRESSURE KIT
The FermZilla Plastic Pressure Kit will turn your FermZilla into a true Uni-Tank.
Uni-tanks are conical fermenters used both for fermentation and for carbonating and serving finished products.
This extremely inexpensive upgrade will truly show you what the FermZilla was designed for.
Fermenting Under Pressure:
Fermenting Under Pressure reduces Ester production and Fusel production. The Brewer can ferment at a warmer temperature, even making Larger at room temperature.
As most commercial products are fermented under pressure, mainly due to the size of commercial tanks and the pressure that is created by the column of fermentables. It is one of the differences between commercial brewing and home-brewing.
Carbonating, Pushing and Serving:
If the Brewer decided to Ferment Under Pressure, the end product will already be carbonated when the fermentation is complete. This level of carbonation can be controlled by using an Adjustable Pressure Relief Valve.
The FermZilla can eliminate Kegging as it can then be directly served from the fermenter, saving time.
If the Brewer prefers to Keg, a Line can be connected from the FermZilla to the Keg, making the process of Kegging a whole lot easier. The Brewer can also choose to send Carbonated product through a Filter on the way to the Keg. When applying pressure from a CO² tank, please ensure that a Relief Valve is placed on the CO² Regulator.
Lack of Oxidation:
By transferring under pressure the end product is not exposed to oxygen hence reducing the effects of oxidation.
Please Note:
The lid on the FermZilla has a built in Relief Valve that will blow at 35 PSI but we strongly recommend that an Adjustable Pressure Relief Vale or a BlowTie Kit is added - this will allow the Brewer to set a lower pressure. It is always suggested that the Brewer has 2 x Relief Valves on the FermZilla anytime the unit is pressurized.
Key Features:
Ferment Under Pressure to reduce Ester and Fusel Production.
It has the ability to always draw Clear fermented product with the unique Floating Draw Tube.
Use CO² to push product into a Keg or through a Filter into a Keg.
Carbonate and serve directly from the FermZilla, eliminating Kegging all together.
