The Helix Upgrade Kit has been designed especially for the Grainfather G30 as it replaces the standard filter element. It allows for efficient filtering of solids, it is easy to install and does require any major modifications for installation.
The Helix Upgrade Kit comes complete and cut to size.
The Helix Upgrade Kit is manufactured from Stainless Steel making it is easy to clean, durable and reliable.
Including:
1 x Helix Coil
1 x ½" Tee Piece
1 x Helix Running Nipple - (Cut to length from the coil)
Please note we supply the coil uncut
1 x ½" Socket
Instructions for Use:
Insert the Helix Coil into one end of the ½" Tee Piece and turn clockwise until tight.
Then turn the opposite end of the Helix Coil anti-clockwise several turns, insert it into the ½" Tee Piece and allow the Helix Colil to unwind into the fitting. Tighten gently.
Insert the Helix Running Nipple in to the ½" Tee Piece.
Install the ½" Socket into the remaining portion of the Helix Running Nipple.
The Grainfather Silicone Connector has a larger opening on one end and a closed smaller segment on the opposite end. This closed smaller segment needs to be trimmed off to allow the flow of Wort into the ½" Tee Piece.
Spray sanitizer onto the Grainfather Silicone Connector and install it into the ½" Socket. Note, the ridge on the Grainfather Silicone Connector will click into the ½" Socket. Push until the Grainfather Silicone Connector is level with the ½" Socket.
The Helix Upgrade Kit is now ready to be installed into the machine.
Hold the Helix Coil on both ends and push the ½" Socket onto the Suction Port of the Grainfather G30.
Cleaning / Sanitising Instructions:
To clean the Helix Upgrade Kit, simply remove the unit from the Suction Port and rinse under clean water.
Sanitize with Acidisan as per sanitising instructions.
Rinse with clean water to remove any residue.
Spray the unit with Sanox before and after storage/use.
PLEASE NOTE:
DO NOT suspend the Helix Coil.
The Helix Coil can suffer permanent damage if hung from the Tee Piece as it is not designed to be suspended.
