MILLSIDE TURBO YEAST - 500G
Product Details
Weight: 0.50 kg

Millside Turbo Multi-Purpose Yeast is an active dry yeast for use in many types of beverage alcohol fermentations and is combined with nutrition complexes, specially formulated for glucose, various fruits and other sugar substrates. It is especially suited for glucose and starch based feed-stocks (most grain and starch-based mashes).

It leaves low levels of residual sugars due to its capacity to metabolize sugars until the end of fermentation.

It is a convenient, easy to use yeast where ABV’s of 18% are possible.

To sum it up, Millside Multi-Purpose Turbo Yeast is a general yeast which works hard, acts fast and will produce a very high ABV (Alcohol by Volume) in a short period of time.

Directions for Use:

Millside recommends the rehydration of Millside Multi-Purpose Turbo Yeast.

  • For rehydration, use a clean container. Do not use demineralized water.
  • Rehydrate the yeast in clean water (the water should be 10 times the weight of the yeast and at a temperature of 30°C - 36°C).
  • Suspend contents carefully by gently stirring and then wait for 5 - 10 minutes maximum (minimum 5 minutes) before moving onto the next step.
  • Add this preparation to the wash. If there is a temperature difference of more than 8°C between the wash to be inoculated and the rehydration solution, add some wash slowly into the rehydration solution to reduce the temperature difference.

Dosage:

The optimal yeast dosage is variable according to individual distillery production processes.

12% (ABV) - 4 grams of yeast per litre of wort – 210 grams of sugar per litre of water.

14% (ABV) - 6 grams of yeast per litre of wort – 245 grams of sugar per litre of water.

Dosage can be increased to achieve faster fermentation rates and ABV.

Storage and Handling:

Millside Multi-Purpose Turbo Yeast should be stored in a cool and dry area away from heat and direct sunlight for maximum stability.
