The Portable Refractometer is used to measure the density of your beer or wine. It can be used in place of a hydrometer to give a quicker more accurate reading and is a must have for any all Brewer.

The Portable Refractometer is a high quality unit which is extremely accurate. The unit is easy to use, focus and calibrate. Calibration is simply done with a few drops of distilled water.

The Portable Refractometer comes with ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) allowing you to use the unit between 10°C – 30°C, so the temperature of the sample is irrelevant.

The Portable Refractometer uses ambient light only which means battery or power source is not required.

The Portable Refractometer can be used in the production of wine as it will measure the brix level (sugar level) in your grapes with just one drop. This makes it the perfect vineyard tool for monitoring ripening grapes. The unit can be used after the crush to get an exact brix reading.
